On November 4th Daylight Savings Time ends. The clocks go back and we are reminded to keep our families safe by changing our smoke and carbon monoxide detector batteries. BATTERIES contain toxic metals such as lithium, cadmium, nickel and mercury. When dumped into landfills, these batteries can burst, poisoning soil, ground water and plant life. Animals can often mistake these batteries for food and die when batteries burst in their stomachs. As good stewards of God’s Earth we strive to keep all life safe by properly disposing of used batteries. You may bring your dead batteries to church during the two weekends of November 3/4th & November 10/11th and drop them in the green bins in the narthex. THE GREEN TEAM will safely dispose of them… just one way that Regina Mundi is caring for Creation.
