Music and liturgical song have always been an integral part of the Parish celebrations here at Regina Mundi Church. A hymn is a Parish community’s sung prayer. Liturgical singers and musicians are a part of a greater faith community that celebrates together. Their ministerial role is to help lead the congregation in musical prayer during the celebration of the Mass.
Fortunately, our Parish community is blessed with four distinct choirs. Three of the four choirs are responsible for the music used during the Saturday evening and Sunday morning Masses. The forth choir is called the “Resurrection Choir.” Its sole purpose is to provide music at funerals held on weekdays at Regina Mundi. Rosanne Quinlan is the music leader of Resurrection Choir for the weekday funerals. For funerals held on Saturday or on holidays, Charles Santos will be leading the choir.
The Music Ministry is a volunteer group of musicians and singers that are always looking for people interested in joining their ranks. For further information regarding this Ministry, please see one of the following two music leaders: Charles Santos (Saturday 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 9:00 a.m. Mass) or John Michael Pocsai (Sunday 11:00 a.m. Mass).
