The Green Team’s Eco Challenge

Pope Francis said, “Care for the earth is not just an Earth Day slogan, it is a requirement of our faith. We are called to protect people and the planet, living our faith in relationship with all of God’s creations.”

So it is that on the weekend of June 10th & 11th, 2017, we at Regina Mundi Church will again take up the challenge to join with people of all faiths by travelling to church on foot, by bike, bus or carpool to show we respect God’s Creation. As we journey, let us be mindful and observant of what grows and lives around us and offer thanks to our Creator. Please join in the challenge and when you arrive remember to sign the posters at the doors so that we can report our results to Greening Sacred Spaces. Here is a lovely prayer you may say on or before your journey. – The Green Team

Garden of Eden

Thank you, God, for this Garden of Eden called the world that you have created for us. Give us eyes to see and honor its beauty. Give us the sense of responsibility to preserve and protect this gift you have graciously given us. Help us to be responsible to see that our children’s children will find it a place of beauty, comfort, and sustenance. We ask these things through Christ, our Lord, Amen.
